Vegetables

This is a listing of vegetables you should expect from Dig Deep Farm, and when (roughly) you should expect them. These dates are best guesses - with seasonal variations, they could well be a few weeks off. Note that the vegetables actually available currently should be diplayed on the home page.

Anise Hyssop	Asian Greens Asian Greens usually come in in early to mid June	Beet Greens Beet greens usually arrive in mid June	Beets Beets first arrive in bunches in July and August, and continue through November.
Cabbage Cabbage starts to come in in mid-September, and continues through November	Carrots	Celeriac Celeriac starts coming in in late September, and continues through November.	Colored Peppers Colored Peppers come into season in September/October
Cucumber Cucumbers start arriving in mid-July	Cut Flowers Cut flowers are a colorful addition to the market - usually arriving in early July.	Garlic Garlic joins us in late June and stays through August	Garlic Scapes Garlic scapes come in mid to late June
Green and Yellow Beans Beans - both green and yellow - start coming in in mid July	Green Peppers Green peppers arrive in mid to late July and continue through early September	Head Lettuce Head lettuce starts coming in in mid to late May	Herbs Herbs start coming in in mid-June, and continue for much of the summer. Early herbs include Sweet Basil, parsley and chives
Hot Peppers Hot peppers arrive in late July through September - right along with the tomatoes - bring on the salsa!	Kale Kale arrives in late June	Leeks Leeks show up in mid September into October.	Onions Onions, like their cousins the Leek, arrive in September and stay through October
Parsnips Parsnips are late comers, not arriving until November.	Pea Shoots Great in salads, flat breads and more	Potato - Yukon Gold Arrives late July	Potatoes - New New potatoes start arriving in early August
Potatoes - storage Storage potatoes come in mid to late September through November.	Radishes Radishes begin to arrive in late June	Rutabega Rutabega - good storage crop	Salad Greens Salad greens are one of the early comers to the farm!
Scallions Scallions arrive in mid to late June	Spring Seedlings We have a number of seedlings available, including romaine, spinach, garlic and more	Sugar Snap Peas Sugar Snap Peas come in mid June - they're a favorite - so get them fast!	Summer Squash Summer squash arrives in July (almost inseperable from Zucchini)
Swiss Chard Swiss chard comes in mid to late June	Tomatoes Tomatoes arrive in July - nothing like eating a fresh tomatoe still warm from the field!	Watermelon Watermelons - one of the sure signs of summer - show up in mid to late July	Winter Squash Acorn, Delicata, Sweet Dumpling... all fall arrivals
Zucchini Zucchini - is there such a thing as too much zucchini? Zucchini starts showing up in mid July through August
