  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp minced peeled fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 6 cups thinly sliced Napa Cabbage (try the mizuna, kale and/or cabbage from last week)
  • 6 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 6 ounces snow peas, stringed, thingly sliced lengthwise (you can try something seasonal)
  • 1 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts

Quick Fresh Tomatoe Sauce

  • 5 pounds tomatoes
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • 1 basil sprig
  • 1 bay leaf

Step 1:

Cut tomatoes in half horizontally.  Squeeze out the seeds and discart, if you wish.  Press the cut side of tomato against the large side of the box grater and grate the flesh into a bowl.  Discard skins.  You should have about 4 cups.
